The George Washington University Hospital (GW Hospital) is a 385-bed tertiary care, academic medical center located in downtown Washington, DC, next to the Foggy Bottom metro. Assistant Director – Human Resources

In conjunction with Director, this position is responsible for the operational management and strategic planning of the Human Resources Department.  24/7 accountability for assigned areas which include, but are not limited to Employee and Labor Relations, Compliance, Benefits, Training, and general operations of Human Resource Services.

Requirements

Education/Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Masters degree in related field preferred
  • 7 to 10 years progressive human resources generalist experience
  • 3 - 5  years supervisory experience
  • 2 years  experience on HR technology applications in a major enterprise system
  • SPHR/PHR Certification or other HR certification preferred
