**External Job Description:**

*The selected candidate must have an active secret security clearance to start.

The selected candidate will be providing engineering support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). The selected candidate will be supporting weapons handling and actuators for the NSWCPD. This position is located in Washington, DC.

The selected candidate must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

The selected candidate should have experience with weapons handling. Experience with electromagnetic actuators is a plus. The selected candidate should have working knowledge of the Navy and DoD.

Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
