Job Description:

TSC has an immediate requirement for a Human Resource Generalist III at our Arlington, VA Corporate Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of human resources initiatives and will report to the Vice President of Contracts & Adminisration. The position is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices, as well as recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.

Responsibilities: 

  • Actively apply and support the company’s Code of Ethics and values
  • Manage the enhancement and maintenance of the company’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) - ADP
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and company policies/guidelines. Files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and legal documentation.
  • Conducts recruitment and hiring process to ensure staffing needs are met for all non-exempt and exempt level positions
  • Works with supervisors and other support staff to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference and background checks; extends job offers; conducts new employee orientations; monitors career path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
  • Maintains Affirmative Action and  Diversity and Inclusion Programs and update as required.
  • Conduct annual salary surveys, analyze compensation trends and monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.
  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures, prepares and maintains employee handbook.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvement in efficiency of department and services performed. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (HR Certifications: PHR, SPHR etc. a plus)
  • 6-8 years of progressive HR experience, with 3 years experience managing HRIS systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
  • Experienced in recruiting for a professional engineering firm
  • Demonstrates business maturity and integrity, especially when dealing with highly confidential information
  • Previous recruiting experience supporting hiring requirements for a multi-location environment.
  • Responsible for compliance with pertinent federal, state and local regulations and the associated filing requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments and management levels within the company
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
