Job Description



HII-TSD is currently seeking a Junior Sharepoint Administrator to work out of Fort Belvoir, VA.


This position requires experience providing SharePoint farm administration, including design, implementation and support of enterprise-level SharePoint environments from SharePoint 2010 and later versions.





Essential Job Responsibilities




+ Conducting patch testing, deployment and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with DoD and Army security requirements such as IAVA and STIGs


+ Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding SharePoint system configuration and operation (system diagrams, application topology, data flow, SOPs, business processes, etc.)


+ Monitoring SharePoint trends (e.g. site usage and growth, disk space usage and growth).


+ Participates in special projects as required.


+ Participating in an on-call production support rotation.


+ Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.






Minimum Qualifications




+ DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification


+ Experience in SharePoint farm administration supporting, an enterprise level SharePoint 2010 and later versions environment.


+ Experience with patch testing, deployment, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with DoD and Army security requirements such as IAVA and STIGs


+ Experience in SharePoint PowerShell modules to configure and administer SharePoint and to automate tasks


+ Experience with Internet Information Services (IIS) for Windows Server and the basic operation of websites, Application Pools, IIS Administration, ports, SSL Certificates, and Kerberos


+ Experience working as a system administrator maintaining Windows servers and performing tasks such as installing service packs, hot fixes, STIGs, and troubleshooting IP, DNS, load balancing problems.


+ Computing Environment Certification


+ Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance


+ 0 Years with Bachelors; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this job. This experience is in addition to the relevant years of experience listed with the job's education requirements.






Preferred Requirements




+ Knowledgeable with industry best practices encompassing Windows Server 2012 R2 configuration, implementation, and security.


+ Knowledge with customizing member servers through the use of Role and Feature additions.


+ Knowledgeable with Internet Information Server (IIS) and the basic operation of websites, Application Pools, IIS Administration, ports, SSL Certificates, and Kerberos.


+ General knowledge of basic administration of a server including service packs and hot fixes required in a Windows operating system environment.


+ General knowledge of networking IP, DNS, Load Balancing as well as the concepts of Availability, Scalability, and Maintainability required


+ Four years of experience in SharePoint farm administration supporting, an enterprise level SharePoint 2010 and later versions environment.


+ Three years of experience with patch testing, deployment, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with DoD and Army security requirements such as IAVA and STIGs


+ Two years of experience in SharePoint PowerShell modules to configure and administer SharePoint and to automate tasks


+ Four years of experience with Internet Information Services (IIS) for Windows Server and the basic operation of websites, Application Pools, IIS Administration, ports, SSL Certificates, and Kerberos


+ Three years of experience working as a system administrator maintaining Windows servers and performing tasks such as installing service packs, hot fixes, STIGs, and troubleshooting IP, DNS, load balancing problems.






Physical Requirements


May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
