Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville PC has an immediate opening for a legal marketing professional to provide marketing and business development support for a boutique law firm. The marketing manager will liaise closely with the attorneys to facilitate various projects and initiatives aimed at driving the development of new business.

 

Essential job functions include:

  • Coordinate and manage content publication on the firm’s website including updates, biographical edits and practice group descriptions
  • Post and plan firm’s social media, including developing timely content as well as creating and implementing an effective social media strategy
  • Assist with the production, editing, and email distribution of client alerts and other client communications using the firm’s email distribution tool, Constant Contact
  • Write and edit practice group descriptions, lawyer bios and announcements for firm website, marketing materials and business development opportunities, including RFPs
  • Update and maintain marketing collateral and promotional products
  • Assist in the planning and execution of firm sponsorships, conferences, webinars, client events and other firm-sponsored functions, including tracking attendees, logistics implementation, on-site support and post event follow-up
  • Negotiate contracts for venues, caterers, etc.; serve as point of contact for vendors, conference organizers, etc.
  • Work with practice groups to develop cross-marketing initiatives and provide coalition support as necessary
  • Provide social media training for attorneys and professionals as necessary
  • Develop public and media relations opportunities for attorneys, including media interviews, speaking engagements and authorship opportunities
  • Draft award and publication submissions
  • Meet weekly with Executive Director to discuss marketing projects and ongoing initiatives

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or journalism required.
  • Three to six years of marketing experience required. Professional experience in a law firm environment preferred.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
  • Proficient with managing corporate social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Experience with SEO and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with WordPress and other Content Management Systems.
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently and be proactive.
  • Strong interpersonal skills allowing the ability to work with a variety of individuals at all levels of the firm, as well as the professional presence and demeanor to represent and promote the firm.
  • High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple projects at once while paying close attention to the details.
